End Of An Era
After just over three years I'm leaving Framestore CFC. I've had a great time there and worked on some fun projects, but all good things must come to an end and it's time for me to move on.

Panned
Thunderbirds was released a few weeks ago and hasn't stunned the critics. However, the production design and visual effects work have been frequently praised. In the intervening time since we completed work on Thunderbirds, I've helped contribute ice tunnel sequences to Alien Vs. Predator. Already released in the U.S., the film has been critically panned, but again the visuals have recieved some compliments.

Boooo!
The film I worked on before Underworld was Imagining Argentina, which has just been unveiled at the Venice Film Festival. The reaction of the critics and press was extreme, some walked out and others booed what they saw as a trivialising of the political violence which is the subject of the film. I've not seen it yet but it sounds like it'll be interesting. We'll soon see what the critics make of Underworld when it is released later this month.

It's a wrap!
I started work on Thunderbirds a couple of weeks ago and filming has just wrapped. Last night I attended the shoot wrap party at Atlantic Bar and Grill in Soho. It was nice to mingle with the director Jonathan Frakes and the actors including Ben Kingsley. And I've never seen so much champagne!

Underworld
The film I'm working on at the moment is Underworld. A story of vampires and werewolves existing in the shadows of modern day Prague. The trailer is online and the teaser poster is below.

Bafta Nomination
Our work Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets has been nominated for an achievment in special visual effects bafta. Of course we won't win, since we're up against Lord of the Rings and Minority Report! But it's nice to be thought of.

Oh and we're down to the final 7 in the Oscars. However I don't think we'll be making it to the final three announced on Feburary 11th.
